Need feedback and opinions about the University of Michigan Plastic Surgery clinic.

I was hospitalized at U of M for a car accident and overall I had a very negative experience. There were a couple excellent nurses but many of the doctors I dealt with were young and inexperienced. The worst problems I encountered were for two fractures that went undetected for a couple weeks despite my constant complaints about them!

Because of my experience with their trauma unit and orthopedic dept I am extremely skeptical of the University of Michigan Plastic Surgery clinic. I have NOT had any experience with the PS clinic and would like to hear some reviews on how its run. I hope it is nothing like what I experienced as a patient in the U of M hospital!

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty all of its own. Unless you were beautiying your fractures, what legitimate evidence do you have regarding their plastic surgery department? I am sorry to hear you had an awful experience, but it sounds like you have a personal vendetta. As a medical professional, I can tell you the closest interns get to plastic surgery patients is completing paperwork, providing tools or gauze, or making sure patients are comfortable.

Sorry if you had a bad experience, but do not mar a department that had NOTHING to do with you.
