Can you gain the weight back in stomach after a tummy tuck?

Dose anybody know if you can gain the weight back in your stomach after a full Tummy Tuck I know with lipo they say you won't gain it back the area that was lipo'd, it's distrubuted threw out the body. And why can't you have lipo with T.T. I was told something about it takes too much of the blood supply during the operation?? Dose any body know? I'm consulting for T.T.:confused:

You CAN get weight back, but not in the same way as before. Like you said, whatever fat you store will be distributed throughout your body, but it's not as if you can pig out after a TT.

As to your second question, I'm not entirely sure on the answer, so I don't want to give you false information. Have you asked your doctor? ;)

The best solution would be to not gain the weight in the first place. I am against the use of plastic surgery to solve all of our problems we get ourselves into. If we choose to live a wreckless life of junk food and sweets why shouldn't we be held responsible for it? There are situations like Kate Gosselin where I understand the need for reconstructive surgery but most of us should rely on nature instead of a scalpel.

We should be relying not on nature, but discipline, instead of plastic surgery in the realm of body reconstruction. You can gain weight back after lipo. Here's an interesting link: Liposuction Weight Gain - Can Liposuction Cause Weight Gain

This link will tell you why you should NOT get lipo with a tummy tuck and avoid surgeons who say it's ok to do so.
LIPOSUCTION AND/OR A "TUMMY TUCK," OR A COMBINATION OF BOTH?

Not to play devil's advocate, but I know several individuals who have gotten both lipo and a tummy tuck during the same surgery, and they ended up with fabulous results. Go figure. Good luck ... and be careful! :)

Tummy tuck, thigh lift, etc I think most plastic surgeons do use at least a little liposuction as part of the procedure.

Most surgeons do liposuction with a tummy tuck as it if used to get down to your ideal weight.

I thought about it for years and watched all the TV programs I could find. Finally I went to Dr. Stein for a consultation - that was the first step! Dr. Stein and his office staff made me feel so good ... and so well taken care of.

My tummy tuck and liposuction changed my life! I went from a size 14 to a size 10. I'm talking about an EXTREME makeover ... and EXTREME satisfaction!

I personally know eight Dr. Steins professionally.

What is your connection with (whichever) Dr. Stein? If you were a patient, some legitimate before and afters would be great to see.

Yes, please post some pictures so we can see, and also please clarify which doctor you are referring to. :)

I agree that we should rely on nature and strive to be happy with what the good lord has given us, however there are times that this is easier said then done. Not everyone intentionally chooses to live a life with a diet described as wreckless (aka junk food etc). There is much more to this then a simple decision of to eat or not to eat! There are things to consider such as lessons learned from childhood, experiences that factor into good decisons or bad, genetics.
Although plastic surgery is technically against "natures way" it certaintly has helped one's self purpose and confidence that has ultimately improve the quality of life for many!
I am currently 2 weeks post operative from a Tummy Tuck and I currently have no idea what my body will look like. I have no idea whether I will be happy with the results! But three years prior to this surgery I was 100 lbs overweight. I lost the weight through diet and exercise. It took me two years. I am 28 years old and always been overweight. I worked hard for two years....worked harder on this then anything else in my life. I have two beautiful children who I love more then life itself. I was left with a lot of extra skin which created a poor self image. Do I want to portray this poor self esteem into my two little girls. Absolutely not! This was something I felt that I worked hard for and earned.
Being overweight is not something someone chooses to be! There are several physical and pyschological reasons for it. Life happens and everyone makes poor decision whether it be in their diet or other categories of their lives. I'm a firm believer in everyone is welcome to their own opinion but I also think that one should consider all aspects before making statements!
