I have an abdominal hernia, a diastasis, and a disinserted belly button. I want to have a tummy tuck, but I need to find a surgeon who would be willing to request authorization for insurance coverage of the procedures I want to have done. I know that apart from the hernia, these are commonly considered strictly cosmetic procedures. However, I have consistent lower back pain and pressure along the diastasis when I'm active, or even sometimes just when sitting for long periods of time. My midwife/ob office said my diastasis was wide, 2 inches in the middle.

Does anyone know of a cosmetic surgeon in Massachusetts who will submit insurance claims for a tummy tuck, even though they may be denied?
