I am 45 years old. I have lost over 120 and kept it off for over ten years. My tummy really grosses me out. I can't even look at myself when I get out of the shower.
I am very scared of the pain and down time.. I do have 6 weeks off from work. However, I work in an emergency room so my job is very physical.
I guess my question to all of you is... Would you do it again? Also, was the results worth it? Thank you so much. Kim |
Hi Kim,
I am now 2.5 months post op from having a tummy tuck with lipo. I was concerned about the pain as well however to be honest the selected surgeon makes the difference! My surgeon kept me well medicated with 2 morphene pills and 2 muiscle relaxers every few hours. Then after going home, my husband whom cared for me, kept on the surgeons schedule for pain managment, making me have no pain at all. The only thing i felt alot of which takes over the pain is the tightness in the stomach. I couldn't stand up straight so my back was bothering me alot. Someone recommended to me to get a recliner, i took them up on that and I am sure glad I did. Your mobility will be limited for a short period time. Be sure to get up and move every so often to avoid getting really stiff. To answer your direct question: Yes I would do this all over again!!! I saw tremendous results! I know can fit back into pants without the skin over hanging my pants. In addition to this, I have lost about 10 pounds. I see my surgeon today to have my photo shoot. Before and After pictures. Can't wait. I would be happy to share some pictures with you, just not on the forum because they are graphic. I love talking about this experence so please feel free to contact me with any questions. If you have a personal e-mail I would be happy to e-mail you back and forth.
Good luck and I look forward to hearing back from you!
