Exclamation Swelling and muscle spasms

I got my tummy tuck on August 5. I'm happy with my results but I still have alot of swelling and muscle spasms. I lost 15 pounds before my TT and I have gained it back since. Most of the swelling seems to be on the side where I am having the muscle spasms and on top of my cooch. How much longer are the spasms and swelling gonna last? I'm just worried and ready to feel normal. I also have some scar tissue in one spot kinda like a knot bout the size of a quarter. If there is anyone who can say anything to make me feel better please do. Thx Amy

Hi Amy,

Swealling can last a while however word of advice drink lots of cold water. This will help hydrate the muscles. When it comes to the scar, get yourself some scar guard. It runs about 85.00 but it works. It softens your incison area and reduces the visability of the scar. Stay far away from salty foods. I had my tummy tuck done in October and I was worried about the same thing however I would swell up more when i didn't have water and when i eat alot of salty foods. I stay clear of this and then i am golden. Your body is stil healing, it takes a while. Try to go for walks as well. This will help you, at least it has for me. I am actually getting back into my zumba rountine because i feel better. The key thing that has helped me is the water espcially with muscle spasms. I haven't had any since i stopped my muscle spasm meds.

Does this help???
