Hey all-
Just wanted to introduce myself as I'm new to the board and get some support from all of you who may have at one time been where I'm at today!! I am 5 days post-op a full tummy-tuck and feeling: depressed, guilty, swollen, stupified (from the pain meds) and somewhat regretful of my decision to do this and burden my wonderful family with recoup needs! My children are little (6 and 8) and very worried about Mommy. My poor husband doesn't know what to say...he didn't even want me to do this in th first place. WAAH. Any words of advice?

You are healing! Allow it to happen as it will. Your feelings are normal and natural.

Do not worry about your husband's opinion. You have to contend with your appearance and be happy with yourself.

Give it some time, and give yourself sometime. Soon you will be back to your old self ... but new and improved!!!

Hang in there, it's totally normal to feel down after plastic surgery (I think almost everyone does at least a little bit). If everything went as planned, you should be happy... just think that in a few weeks you'll have your new sexy tummy and those side effects will be gone

I am new also and I appreciate you sharing. I told my doc I would not feel sad or regretful after...but he assured me most women do at some point. Remember WHY you chose this surgery and as Robyne00 said...when you heal you will feel much better.
