Tummy tuck for stretch marks removal doesn't work
I have stretch marks under my belly button that my doctor said could be removed with a tummy tuck surgery. He set me up with a plastic surgeon he recommended and I had my consultation with him last Thursday. The guy is trying to tell me that a tummy tuck for stretch mark removal is the best way to go. I am at a loss of words and think he is saying this because of greed to make me buy the surgery. Why would I want to cut apart my skin and create a long scar to get rid of a few stretch marks.

I have never heard of this!!! A tummy tuck for stretch marks? This surgeon is definitely opportunistic as well as extremely aggressive. Are your stretch marks that bad? Do you need a tummy tuck? If not, go elsewhere for PS advice, by all means.

Yes, I agree. It sounds like this plastic surgeon has no guilt about selling you down the river. If you happen to need a tummy tuck (you have excess skin that needs to be removed surgically) then it's an added benefit if that removed skin has stretch marks on it... but getting a tummy tuck only to remove them?
