I remember hearing about rib removal plastic surgery a long time ago because Madonna supposedly got it done. I'm much younger but have a body that I think is similar to how she does or did. By the way I know this might be the wrong category to write this but it was the best I could do. My lower ribs stick out when I am standing, leaning back and laying down. I don't like it because it makes me feel manly, that's what I see on guys.

I know rib removal plastic surgery will be the only way to fix this but it's not something I can do right now. And when I can do it I am getting my ears done first. But I still would like to learn a little about how they remove the ribs for this. Tell me about the incisions. What does one do to find a plastic surgeon for rib removal?

This is a tricky surgery. Many celebs have had it done. I'm not sure about Madonna, but what has she not had done!!!

The only thing about your post that concerns me, is your self comparison to a pop star. This always sets off red flags for those of us in the field. Comparing your body to Madonna's sets you up with an unrealistic and virtually unattainable goal. Thusly, you are likely to be dissatisfied with your surgical results.

Where are you located? I do know reputable surgeons that perform this surgery, but it is extreme.

I honestly don't know about rib removal plastic surgery so I won't be much help.

But besides that, she is not the celeb I would want to look like! Her arms and cheek implants are hideous

I wouldn't want to look like Madonna either, but for her age she does look good.

She says she eats healthy foods and exercises. I'm sure she does, but most of her thanks should be to her surgeons and their scalpels!!!

Hi everyone

I was seriously considering having my "floating ribs" removed as my ribs are very low, hips very high and my built is very wide. Because of this it is impossible to have a waist line smaller than a 27...even if I were to be 15 pounds under weight.
I am in the entertainment industry and as most know having a flattering figure is important and I wanted to have the procedure done in a month as I have a project I need to be prepared and looking great for coming up.

I have already talk to a doctor but wanted to get outside opinions as well.

I was hoping to get as much information as a could from anyone out there about good doctors in this area, estimates of cost, time of healing, and also the known cons to this procedure.

Also, I would love to hear from anyone who has had, or knows anyone who has had the producer done with their reactions.

I was wondering if this would greatly affect giving birth to children later on and any other information on the subject that people could give me.

This surgery is extremely pricy (and dangerous) from what I have been told. I will ask some of my colleagues about specific cost. I know you will have scars on your back. One risk is the need to protect the internal organs. Sometimes the ribs grow back too, thusly many surgeons are not willing to perform this procedure.

I just found this thread by googling removal of ribs.. I'm curious whether you found any other information about this? Are there any (serious and reputable) surgeons in the US doing this?
