How Do You Get Rid of Stretch Marks?

Getting rid of stretch marks can be an extremely frustrating skin problem. It can seem hopeless at times knowing there's very few cosmetic treatments out there for this condition. I've heard laser resurfacing is totally ineffective when it comes to a stretch mark because that's not what they're designed for. Mine are absolutely awful. I have these horrible lines on my thighs and butt when I lost a few pounds. I didn't even lose much weight maybe 10 to 15 pounds and I wasn't even overweight to begin with. I have tried the shea butter from Palmers and it did absolutely nothing. I tried silicone sheets and they didn't work plus it was very hard to wear they because of the location of them on your body you are always sitting on them and they are rubbing against your pants.

I don't know what else there is out there you can use to get rid of these? I've heard about revitol from that does anyone know anything about that? What is the best stretch mark cream on the market today?

Bio-oil is supposed to be good for reducing the appearance of stretch marks I'm using it at the moment for my scar & have noticed a bit of a difference (been using it for less than a week) but you have to use it for a while to see proper results (the leaflet inside will tell you for at least 3 months if you get it):barf::barf:

I have heard that shea butter can help and I think Palmers shea butter is a popular brand for it but I have not used it myself so I cannot say whether or not it actually works.

Use Pure Cocoa butter..not the kind they have at the beauty store.. you have to go to a natural store to find this one. Pure Cocoa butter looks like wax

Is it cocoa butter they use in Palmer's or is that shea butter?

I could be wrong but I always thought there wasn't much you could do about them. I'm sure dermatologists say otherwise and try to sell you on their fancy lasers but I have never heard of any treatment being all that effective for stretch marks.

Don't waste your money on any of the Clarins products. Unfortunately, the only thing their good at working on is shrinking your wallet.

I'm a guy and I have some stretch marks on my butt and I can't stand them. When I'm naked during intimacy I never let me anyone see my backside because of it.

Then you should probably do something about it. Not surgery necessarily, but something to improve the condition. There are quite a few viable options out there. You should be proud of your body!

The link below might help, although the surgical procedures have mixed reviews:

If there is excess skin present, often the most practical and effective solution is getting a lift perform for that area, which will inherently remove the stretch marks at the same time if they are located on the portion being excised.

If one has an excessive amount of weight that is a concern as well. However, if weight is not the issue, a GREAT deal of skin CAN be removed.
