![]() | Please please please help me! What is the average cost of keloid removal surgery? They keep getting bigger and these things how horrible no one should have to suffer with these. I want to get them removed. Can anyone tell me how much I should expect it to be or if you know if you if the price of keloid removal surgery is covered by insurance? I live in a small place so is it better for me to go out of town to a specialist to get this done? I just don't want to pay a lot because I cant so need to go with the cheapest plastic surgeon that does this. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! |

![]() | Don't quote me on it but I think I remember seeing the average price of keloid scar removal surgery at $800 last year. If that number is it (I hope I remembered right ) I think it depends on the location and size of scar. Scar revision surgery varies so much because of these things so an average price is hard to guess. My guess is the face is more and you would probably want a better doctor for facial scars anyway and they'll probably be more. Was this any help? |

![]() | THANK YOU! I guess $800 for keloid removal is worth a shot if it won't come back. I have an appt with a doctor I'm going to talk to him about this aldara cream stuff to use on the keloid scar after surgery so it doesn't come back. I just really want to get rid of the ones that are super visible for now and I don't think that's too much to ask. Cross your fingers for me let's see if it works. |

![]() | anyone know if this Aldara cream is FDA approved for keloid scarring? I think I had a friend use some of that medicine on a surgery scar and it didn't do a thing except cost him a ton. That stuff ain't cheap it's 400 a box or something crazy like that. For that price that better be the answer of how to get rid of keloid scars after surgery. Anything else plastic surgeons can do. What about skin lasers? |

![]() | Great mention of the Aldara. I've heard that when it comes to keloid scar removal surgery the post-op care is even more important than the surgery itself, to avoid the keloids from coming back. You need to be sure and be careful with the Aldara though because you don't want to put that on open cuts because if it is it will go straight into your blood stream. There's some pretty bad stories of that stuff giving you flu symptoms and possibly doing damage to your immune system if you have a lot of it in your bloodstream continuously. |
