| I appreciate you admitting you were naive, but that is a huge problem in the arena of PS. Patients "hope for the best" and when the best does not happen (sometimes due to no fault of the patient) an ugly dilemma presents itself.
Regardless of already having surgery, it sounds to me like you still need to do more research, and not all internet research. The price your aiming for sounds quite inflated as well.
Please ask questions. PM me questions if you want. If I can help you, I will be more than happy to do so. You might want to start a new thread and post pre op and post op photos to get forum members opinions. You need to physically visit many surgeons. You need to meet real patients, and not the ones the surgeon provides (often models, friends, family members, or if you're lucky, an actual patient that did have good results).
If you want a few excellent referrals for revision in NY, please feel free to PM me.

| Very much appreciated, robyne. I've only just begun to revisit this whole issue after a long period (and certainly not jumping into anything), so I'll be following your good advice over the next while. |

| Norm, I think your situation is one that many of us find ourselves in. We pick a plastic surgeon who we think is "top notch" only to later find out it we were deceived by their marketing and seemingly luxurious offices, or as Robyne's description which I just love - "spa-like atmospheres, have multiple assistants, serve organic and/or gourmet food and drink to their "guests" or "visitors". I'm not sure about New York, but this is especially common here in LA! Every doctor wants to create the illusion they are successful because of their talent. It's kind of like that joke about men with small... (well you know) drive around in red Ferraris to compensate. I think it's the same with plastic surgeons... they need all this "bling" to compensate for their only mediocre skills.
For the revision rhinoplasty, you say the first was done in LA but I see you now live in NYC. Are you planning on having it done in that area? |

| Good observations. I mean, I like organic food as much as the next person; maybe just not for an additional 10K.
I'll likely stick with NYC, as long as I'm here, although I may be back in LA eventually.
I'll start a new thread in a little while to go into more detail. I've managed to hijack this one way off its original topic... |

| Hey Norm,
Yes, definitely start a new thread!!! I look forward to reading it.
Also, thank you for the compliment, la_angel. I have seen this first hand on the East Coast as well as in Scandinavia (not as much in the latter, but the mindset is still there and it is becoming more prevalent).

| Why are you still so desperate for celebs docs, after this original thread? I have merged your most recent post with this thread to avoid any redundancy on the forum.
You can search for additional info on Ellenbogen on this forum. I believe Ryan is mentioned a few times on the forum as well. Hutcherson originally practiced otolaryngology and went back to school to become a plastic surgeon. I have heard mixed reviews about him.
Celeb docs do not always deliver the goods so to speak, especially for non-celebs.
