How to disguise narrow set eyes?
How do you disguise eyes that are close together? I am usually answering questions on this forum and not ask but this is one question I do not know the answer to. I have narrow set eyes and this is one of those problems there seems to be nothing you can do about.

To make matters worse I've had two rhinoplasty surgeries and the first one (the second one was only tip work) the surgeon narrowed the bridge of my nose. I have since learned that this is not good to do if you have close set eyes because it makes the eyes seem closer together and a wider bridge gives the impression the eyes are further apart.

I guess I have 2 questions:

1) What types of non-surgical techniques can I do? I already use eye makeup on the outer third of my eye and sometimes a lightening powder on the inner third of my eyes. I also pluck the middle of my eye brows to leave that space open. This all helps but is there anything else?

2) If/when I am able to afford yet another revision rhinoplasty (so expensive!) I am considering going with a different surgeon and having the bridge redone along with my botched tip. Would the surgeon be able to widen the upper bridge? My eyes are so deep set I don't know if there's any cartilage to do this so I don't know if it's even possible.

Hi la_angel! i have the same problem! But no one can tell when i use Eye Bright by Benefit. Its like a light pink stick that you apply to the inner corners of your eyes. It also makes my eyes look really pretty because I have green eyes, and then no one notices that they are close together. I dont know of any surgery for that either. I'm sorry I couldn't help much, but you should definitely give the Eye Bright a try.

also, if you dont mind answering, what ethnicity are you?

Thanks I will look into this Eye Bright. I am caucasian- Eastern European so I have very deep set eyes. It gives a very dramatic sexy look when you're younger but is not good for aging! Unfortunately yeah we can't change the shape of our bones there so I think makeup and other smoke and mirrors are our only options.

Hey la_angel!

Eye bright from benefit is a great product for the inner corners of eyes, as well as on each side of the bridge of your nose works wonders for the eyes. It creates a great facial balance.

Another good benefit product is boi-ing. Applied under the eyes, it makes you look wide eyed and awake!

Applying a pink or white pencil right under your eyebrows works quite well.

Applying white eyeliner to the inner bottom eyelid (only 1/4!!!) of the way gives you a wide eyed doll look.

Also you can apply a darker contouring shade to the outside of the eyes. Use a medium shade of shadow to tie the shading together, and finish it by adding a highlight to the inside corners of the brow.

Also remember to blend!

Put darker makeup on the outside of the eyes it helps a lot. Do it overboard if need be.
