What is the first thing people look at on your face?
 

What's the first thing people look at on your face when they see you? I came across this study today while I was writing a paper and now that I found this cosmetic surgery forum I thought I would share it with you guys too.

It turns out the nose is the first place our eyes go when we look at someone else. Who woulda thought? I was sure it would be the eyes but it isn't!

Thanks for pointing that out la_angel! I personally would like to know how many subjects were interviewed, the sex ratio of the subjects (male number of subjects vs. female), and if there were differences between the men and womens responses. I would think it would be the eyes too, however some people are not very good with eye contact. Also, the nose is usually the center point of the face.

You're right it does seem like the eyes would be first! I guess maybe it's because the nose is in the middle of your eyes so that's why it's noticed.
