Question NYC rhinoplasty - torn between options.

I've always been quite unhappy with my nose, but recently, have been seriously contemplating rhinoplasty. Although I've done quite a bit of research, I still don't feel like an expert on the subject. Being in NYC, there is an abundance of plastic surgeons. Of course, I'm drawn to the top guns that have extensive expertise, facial specialization, and a myriad of media publicity behind them.

I have been to two consultations so far, which went very well, but don't know where to go from here. I have come to realize that any surgeon I choose, especially one that performs 100+ rhinoplasties per year, will has some sort of a negative review or discussion about them. Usually, they are tragic: "He said there is nothing else he can do!" "He butchered my nose!" "I was beautiful before the surgery!" etc. These comments are disconcerting, to say the least, and both of the surgeons I'm seriously considering have at least one of those.

My dilemma now is: should I keep seeing more surgeons and pay more consultation fees (at $200-400 a pop I'm already reaching my personal consultation limit), or should I settle on one of the surgeons I've seen? If anyone else is contemplating rhinoplasty in NYC, I would love to speak and share experiences.
