Dr. Craig Hobar performed two rhinoplasties on me. Let me make it clear that my nose before hand was just a mess and considering what it looked like, he did a pretty good job. That being said, there are still a few assymmetricalities about it that bother me. The tip is not as refined and the bridge is not as narrow as I'd like it to be. I asked for a curved profile and it still looks straight and too long for my face. When I addressed these concerns, he said he would perform a second revision for free and that he also recommended a genioplasty to make it look less long (which I actually wanted the first time around but didn't have the money for).
The thing is, I read a scary review online from someone who claimed he didn't even remember what surgery this patient was in for on the day of! The person also said that their chin looked awful and that the other doctor who eventually fixed it said they regularly received patients from Hobar's botched surgeries. Naturally this made me a little paranoid. I don't doubt that he forgot what they were supposed to do, because both times before my surgeries, he asked me to remind him what to get done specifically on my nose. (I think this is why it didn't turn out the way I asked him to- he forgot minor things I asked him to do in past consultations)
Now I don't know what to do. I definitely want another revision and a genioplasty, but now I don't know if I can trust him. Am I being unreasonable, or should I go to another dr for my peace of mind?
forgive the flyaway hairs in the picture!
