Deciding between septoplasty and rhinoplasty Hi,
I am new to this forum. I have had over a year of breathing problems and sinus infections. My doctor discovered I have sleep apnea and referred me to an ENT specialist who recommends repairing a deviated septum and also said because of an injury to my nose when I was 5, (am now 55!) I could benefit from a full rhinoplasty. Looking online and reading reports, the rhinoplasty sounds very scary. I wouldn't be having it done just for vanity, the fact my nose was so obviously broken hasn't held me back after all these years, but I just wondered what people recommend? I know there are always people with horror stories, (people love to tell you when things go wrong, but you don't often hear when things go right!) that I don't want a totally biased viewpoint.
Of course my surgeon wants to do a full rhinoplasty - and I would like to know your opinions. Please help.
This is my first time posting and I appreciate any input.
Thanks.
