Having to go back to work with a new nose? I am 23 and I work in a warehouse.. and everyone has something to say about everyone. It's like highscool and it really sucks.. Even the older people.. I am liked by many people.. but still I don't want to go back to work and be treated like some celebrity. I'm very self conscious about my nose, the outcome, and what people are gonna say, or think. I just want to quit and somehow have a job lined up.. but that's impossible since somehow I'd have to have a job to lined up a couple weeks after surgery.. I can't just quit and hope I find a new job... I'm getting a place with my boyfriend and I can't be jobless.. Finally I have the money saved up I need.. and now I don't know what the heck to do.. I just don't have it planned out.. I'm scared.. not about getting it done, but what people will think of me.. I'm super sensitive when it comes to my nose.. of course I will love to show myself more, and not hide myself.. but it's just a matter of how I will get treated, or talked about..

probably too late now (did you get it done?? how did people react?) but still...

i'm getting mine done in 3 days - my flatmate knows and one friend knows. no one else. From what I read so far I expect the following: the swelling goes down so slowly that no one will notice you had your nose done. it's not that you leave work today and come back a week later with a tiny nose. the thing will be swollen for weeks and months and the swelling will go down with time - and no one will notice the change as they see you every day. so i wouldnt worry about that at all.
and if they ask why your nose seems swollen, just say you've taken up boxing classes

You are correct, you are getting affected by the peer pressure of sorts as in high school. Now you are matured, you should be proud of what you have. So chill and do not leave your job for this small reason, if i may say so.
