I had rhinoplasty done 2/1/2 weeks ago and am unhappy with the results...mainly because I was not aware he was going to raise the tip. We had only discussed narrowing the bridge a little and defining the tip so it was not so bulbous. There now seems to be much too much room between my nose and upper lip. My nose appears too short for my long face. I keep looking at my before pictures and wonder why I wasn't happy with what God had blessed me with. Perhaps it is too soon to tell but I really wish I would have just worked on feeling better about myself. If you get this done, do your homework first...do not rush into it...and make sure the doctor understands exactly what you want. I had told my doctor that I didn't want to lose my ethnic look and that's exactly what he did. I now have a little bit of an upturned nose...which I never liked or wanted.

You have very pretty features and having your nose thinned out and tip sharpened would enhance your over all face. Are you in the LA area? I could recommend 2 surgeons that I can vouch for. I had the same concerns and received the same reaction from friends and family. Still had it done As far as your face. I am too asymmetrical. Just mother nature. That is either a question for a maxillofacial surgeon or plastic surgeon to see if an implant will solve your concern. Good luck

honestly, you don't need a rhino. I can see what you mean, BUT... the nose needs to fit into the face. in your case: you have wonderful big eyes and perfectly shaped lips, so even if your nose itself is slightly wide, it fits perfectly with your other face features. I honestly think changing it would make you "ordinary", if you know what I mean.

I'm getting my nose done in 4 days (oh my god...!!), i have a wide tip and a fairly broad bridge, also slightly convex in profil (love my dad, hate the nose I inherited ). My sister has a very similar nose, but lucky for her she's got much fuller lips - whereas my lips are thin and my mouth pretty narrow. so what totally works for her (not a tiny nose, but all other features are perfectly balanced) doesn't work for me (I think - however, I haven't told a soul about my rhino as I know everyone will say "you dont need it").

in summary: don't do it. you're extremely pretty, don't lose that "edge" and make yourself ordinary.
Look at Gisele Bundchen; her nose is far too long if you look at it isolated. in her face, it's perfect, because it makes her special.

I think your nose looks really good, though I can see how you'd want to thin it ever so slightly. I can't tell you to love yourself the way you are because ultimately the decision is yours to make. But from my if I had a nose like yours, I don't think I would go through with rhinoplasty unless it was something that I really, really wanted and had been thinking about for years and years.

I fail to understand what's suppose to be wrong with your nose?

To be honest, because I live in L.A. and so many people I know have done surgery, you have 8/10 chance of bad surgery. Very few I know are really pleased with their surgery and felt it worsened their condition, especially if they were fairly young when they did procedures. Wait until you're in your mid 40's or something. And be careful who you pick. Celebrity doctors, fancy addresses don't mean a thing. Its just hype. Results alone is what matters.

We are an image obsessed culture , so I understand where you are coming from with wanting a more perfect nose . That being said, you are a very beautiful young lady as is.
I agree w/ other members that thinning is most likely the look you are trying to achieve. But you might want to wait it out a bit and see if your insecurities fade with maturation. Sometimes we get into a "funk" and focus on a tiny detail that others would not notice. Do what makes YOU happy, but proceed w/ caution. Even a surgeon w/ excellent credentials can't have 100% satisfaction rate. And often we feel worse afterwards when our results are not as desired. Good luck though!
