Hi everyone,

I am having my surgery on 11th of July, I am soooo scared and worried about going under and not feeling ok when I wake up + everything that comes with
it???? I know if I dont do it now I will always regret it.... Please share your experience with me??

good luck with your surgery! Everything will be fine, you just have to be patient and wait a couple of months to start seeing some results. The complete healing may take up to a year.
Make sure you tell your surgeon exactly what you want to be done to your nose. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
Read this forum on post op experience. Many people have shared their stories. Including me.

FWIW, I wish I had scheduled my surgery for Fall or Winter instead of summer. Not a whole lot of swimming, hanging out, etc. after rhinoplasty.

Just something to consider if it's an option for you.

I have read that it is also better to do in winter because swelling will be slightly reduced. Not sure if that is true or not. I had mine in winter and my swelling wasn't too bad.

OP, it is seriously an easy surgery. I slept the first day, the second and third days were the worst, then I was pretty much fine. The worst part for me was ear pain actually. That and the gross part of the nose bleeds. The first few times cleaning my nose grossed me out but then I got used to it and didn't think too much about it.

I've never personally experienced a rhinoplasty, but I'm sure you'll be okay. Good luck though!

Hey Mystic Topaz,
I personally had posted my own personal experience from my surgery on October of 2010. I'm 10 months post-op now. The thread was called "One week after rhinoplasty". Look it up.
But again, like I had said earlier there are many stories shared here.
The only thing I was worried about was the result and if I was going to like my nose.
The recovery after surgery is not that bad. You will go through it.
I also have some before&after photos of my nose along with my story.
