I have read that it is also better to do in winter because swelling will be slightly reduced. Not sure if that is true or not. I had mine in winter and my swelling wasn't too bad.
OP, it is seriously an easy surgery. I slept the first day, the second and third days were the worst, then I was pretty much fine. The worst part for me was ear pain actually. That and the gross part of the nose bleeds. The first few times cleaning my nose grossed me out but then I got used to it and didn't think too much about it.
