Can laughing after rhinoplasty ruin the results?
 

Sorry if there's already a thread on this; I searched and couldn't find one.

I'm seven days post op from my revision rhinoplasty and I'm concerned...for the last few nights I've been laughing pretty hard. I really tried not to but I just couldn't, and the harder I tried, the more I laughed! and the more pressure I felt in my nose! I already emailed my doctor about this but since it's memorial day weekend he won't be able to get back to me until Tuesday and I'd really like an answer now.. Can laughing ruin the results? It already feels...different

It depends on exactly how much was done to your nose and where, but it is usually recommended to try to keep it from moving as much as possible. Try not to scrunch your nose when you laugh, if that makes sense

just updating in case anyone might have the same question in the future: i went to my doctor in two days following my post and he assured me laughing wouldnt effect my results.

It's better to keep you facial expressions slight because the stitches pull and may cause bleeding. But your results probably won't be affected.
