Over 1 year after rhinoplasty, never improved... Hey everyone, it's been a while. I had my nose job in late December 2009 so it's been almost one and a half years. I also had the two steroid injections for scar tissue build up last June and September I believe, and though there was a slight improvement, I still have a lump just above the tip that is mostly on the left side of my nose and I can push it around/wobble it. All in all I think it's still a bit too big for my face and since I paid 7 grand for it, I kind of wanted it to be straight...
My surgeon was so rude at my last appointment that I will never go back, nor did he offer revision as an option. I left in tears at how little he cared about my healing since he got my money, I guess he was done with me. Anyways, I've learned to deal with the lump since it's still better, but if I do decide to go down the revision route when I have the money, I want to know a few things, if anyone knows..
-how much more does the risk go up for revision?
-are they usually more expensive than the initial surgery? Should you usually go to the same doc or go to a revision specialist?
-are pollybeak revisions easier, or will the scar tissue just form again once the surgery is done?
If you want a pic to see if it's worth one day getting a revision, let me know. |
