Just updating, in case anyone is interested

I got my splint off today! It is pretty much exactly what I wanted. The bridge is streamlined and symmetrical, instead of curving to the right like it used to. And I am SO GLAD he didn't touch my tip because it looks perfect the way it is. They said I was still a little swollen, but honestly I don't think I look that swollen, especially when compared to a lot of pics I've seen of other people 8 days post op. I'd still like it to slim down a little more so I think it looks as it should look right now.

BUUUUT. There is a little bump on the side of the bridge where one of the sutures is, it didn't feel like a hard bump, though, and the nurse said it was liquid that it will go down soon. I asked what would be done about it if it didn't go down, and she said that that's not going to happen and that I shouldnt worry. She also told me to gently press my finger on the bridge to prevent the liquid from developing into a bump on the bridge (or something to that effect, I'm paraphrasing). They want me to come in next week to make sure it's gone. I only got the splint off a few hours ago and already it has gone down a lot, but now I'm scared because I *do* see and feel a hint of a bump. I'm also scared because last time they told me to press down on it, I developed a little air bubble under the bridge.

ugh. i love the way it looks but im paranoid that its not going to stay that way

Hey,
what the nurse told you is right. It's fluid underneath te skin. It will go down for sure, so don't panic. Nothing to worry about. When I had cast taken off, my surgeon also told me to press gently on each side of the bridge every day after he took the cast off, for about a month. My nose was very swallen after the cast was off, and looked bigger and longer than my original nose. Not sure why. Seems like yours isn't that swallen. Which is good. But I assume it is still swallen, and will only get slimmer. So you should not worry about anything. You will see a change in the first month and especially two months post op.
I also had work done on my tip. I am 8month post op now, and I feel like the tip is still big. I hope it is still going down.

thank you so much, that really settled my nerves! i will continue updating, and ill try to get a picture up soon. i remember a picture of your nose, it looked great!!! hope it continues to look good

How far are you post-op? The nose will get smaller but I don't think it will be a huge change. If you aren't that far post-op, maybe the dents are just swelling? I used a clarisonic to gently massage the bridge starting a month post op, to help keep the scar tissue to a minimum
