Nassif is terrible and like I stated earlier, totally overrated.

Any doctor or member of the staff that makes you feel uncomfortable should be a red flag. I do not like the fact that he wouldn't let you write things down, didn't listen to what YOU wanted, and they rushed you to sign (I am originally from Scandinavia so I can relate). So sorry to hear about your bad experience. To post a picture make a new post, and there will be an area for you to upload photos. I am interested to see the photos and sympathize with your plight.

As far as Ellenbogen, sometimes he too does not listen to patients, and is overly aggressive in his approach. Anyone who wants specifics can PM me.

Unhappy These are pics I promised you reg Dr. Nassif. before and 5 months post opp.

These are the before and after pics I promised to show you. Can a revision help this or 3 surgeries are too much? also can feel that columella is pulling as a part of it might be choped off so augmentation can be problematic. dnt know what 2 do.

There is a marked improvement when one compares the before and after photos, however, a revision could improve your nose.

Are you saying Dr Nassif now has his patients sign papers that say they cannot post negative reviews online? Please explain, because that must be a newer "technique" doctors now use.

I actually like your nose better pre-op. I think wider bridges look better on males, and Nassif tends to make his too narrow. It's hard to tell how much of that is swelling, and how much of it is the final nose. I know this doctor does some excessively aggressive techniques that causes swelling which lasts a very long time, so that is a possibility. Your tip should improve, but in all honesty, I still feel your nose was better pre-op than post-op (that's just my opinion).

And yes, the fact that he tries and paint himself as a charity giver (by doing surgeries for those in need) seems to probably be nothing more than hypocrisy. I would love for him to disclose how many pro-bono surgeries he performs, for whom, and when. My guess is he had to during training, but rarely if ever does those today.

Thumbs up LA rhinoplasty surgeons

hey all~

just wanted to add my two cents ... dr. nassif is great at marketing and putting himself out there in a very attractive light. i don't really know much about his skills in rhinoplasty though, since i've never had surgery with him, nor do i personally know anyone who has ...

BUT, i do know a facial plastic & reconstructive surgeon who has been doing face reconstructions for the past 20+ years. his background is in ear/nose/throat, so he's got a much different perspective on the financial side of plastic surgery. anyhow, dr. michael schwartz is in pasadena, ca (about a 20 minute drive from dr. nassif's office) and i've known a few people who have had their nose done with dr. schwartz -- including myself. he does a really good job.

i'd highly highly recommend talking to a surgeon like dr. schwartz before being "sold" by good public relations and marketing.

i've actually been working for dr. schwartz for the past 8 months, doing videos productions of some of his work. we first met at my consultation to have my nose done, which i am very pleased with. and he's a great guy with a great personality ... very enjoyable to be around.

but if anyone's interested, dr. schwartz's website is www.drmichaelschwartz.com ... and he also has a video of mine up on youtube of an open rhinoplasty that he did (the video is sped up to be 10 minutes in length, but the full surgery is shown without anything cut out). it's extremely interesting and educational ... anyhow, click this link to watch on youtube.

and, i also apologize for not specifically noting my affiliation with dr. schwartz. i am the one who recorded and produced the videos of his surgeries ... and while i'm not usually on message boards promoting him as a surgeon, i do enjoy sharing his work with the world. once i found plasticsurgeryspot.com, i thought it would be fun to share this with your community. so i hope it is enlightening to anyone that is interested in learning how plastic surgeons actually do their work.

cheers!

Paravis,

Why not post your before and after pics so we can see the results?
That way we can make our decisions regarding your docs work?

Paravis is breaking the law! He does internet marketing for Schwartz!!!

I will speak to some friends and have this investigated. As of 12/2009, this type of biased promotion is illegal!

Don't break the law, paravis!!!

Nickey, don't take what I said the wrong way. All I meant was in my personal opinion, I believe I would prefer your old nose. That's just me, everyone has different tastes
It should improve as the swelling settles, but by how much, I don't know.

About Dr. T, the funny thing is everyone considers him a thousand times better than Nassif (who has only been in practice a few short years) yet he still charges less than Nassif. That just goes to show you how out of control his pricing is. Remember he has that mega-millionaire wife that makes him feel inferior, so he has to pump up his prices so his income doesn't totally dwarf in comparison
