and i'm still here to talk about it =)

i had my surgery yesterday @ about 11:30am. the place i had it done was great. everybody made me feel soo comfortable (and believe me, i was SO nervous) I woke up from the surgery @ around 2, and i felt good.. no nausea, very minor pain.. i felt bad b/c the girl that had surgery before me was still in recovery whenever i got there because she was really nauseated and i guess she kept throwing up. they discharged me around 2:30. i have a little bit of bruising around my eyes, and the top of my head (like in between my eyebrows) is swollen and sore. other than that, the worst part is the yucky drainage from my nose. ive been using arnica gel 3x's a day and taking arnica pellets.. idk if it helps or not... i didnt get much sleep last nite.. it's reaaally uncomfortable to sleep sitting up. all in all tho, i am soo glad i did it. i cant wait to see the results! My PS said he thinks i'll be very happy. Well, just wanted to update you guys!!! thanks for all the previous advice!! =) =)

so glad you did it!!
Just stay positive. The first few days/nights will be uncomfortable, but you will make it through. I know the feeling of 'i finally did it'. Now the waiting starts and the anticipation of how your nose will heal will be the hardest to deal with. Make sure to take pics of when you have your cast removed and then take pics each month. So you know how your nose changes from month to month. I had my surgery done 3 months ago. Keep using the arnica gel and palettes. They do help a lot!!!
The swelling that is on the forehead now will continue down your face. Just make sure to relax and keep your head elevated. I know, you won't be getting much sleep but it's for the faster healing.

Keep us posted and show us before and after of your nose in the next months.

thanks guys! i'll def post pictures in the next week. =) ive been taking some pictures everyday just so i can track the swelling and stuff.. i'll keep you guys updated =)
