Best Revision Rhinoplasty surgeons in Los Angeles area?

Hi, I am new to this site, and am looking for any information on the best revision rhinoplasty surgeons in the Los Angeles area.

I had a septoplasty done about 7 years ago, and have not been very happy with the results. My nose also never felt "solid" and has been broken about 5-7 times since (It breaks very easily).

I visited Dr. Chiu (a regular plastic surgeon--not specializing in revisions) for a consult, but upon further thought decided to also visit a revision specialist. Today I visited Dr. Calvert, the specialist, and was informed that I would need a rib graft revision with fascia taken from above my ear. My nose does not look that bad, so I never anticipated this would be the case (granted, it is not solid at all, and if you push on certain areas along the bridge, it's squishy, and you can hear clicking noises). Also, I love my tip, and don't want any work done on it. My breathing is decent, but I still breathe through my mouth quite frequently.

Because fixing my nose in this manner would be a much larger undertaking than expected, I want to make sure that I go with the best surgeon possible. I'm also looking to get a chin implant, and some chin liposuction, so regardless, I know the bill isn't going to be cheap. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about Dr. Calvert? Also, who else should I see in LA for further opinions? And finally, some people on this site seem not at all fond of the rib cartilage revisions... Are there significant complications w/this type of procedure (This whole thing is very new to me, and was pretty much thrown at me out of the blue during my consult, so I didn't think to ask this question).

Thank you for your help!

Hi Porscha,

I am new as well to this website :-)

I have had great experience with the Osborne Head & Neck Institute at Cedars Sinai- http://www.ohni.org.
They have great testimonials too: http://www.ohniww.org/top-ent-doctor...rgeon-reviews/

Hope everything works out for you! :-)

This is in resopnd to the "septoplasty done about 7 years ago." I am almost 2 years new in this California area as well. I am in the south central desert part of San Bernardino County. I am also looking for a rhinoplasty revision specialist. I like the before and after pictures of Dr. Richard Ellenbogen 310-276-3183 in Beverly Hills. So far he seems to be the best revision rhinoplasty specialist in Los Angeles. You can also look up Dr. Richard Clark 916-925-3912. He does it without scars. He's several hours away form LA. God Bless you.

Hi stephanen, do you have pictures to show us please? I would love to see a pic together with good comments as pics support the comments.

Mayjones- I heard bad stuff about Dr Richard Ellenbogen, I saw pics of one of his unhappy patients which scared me off. .:Freak: Here, this is a blog of an Ellenbogen Victim who is warning us about her experience. http://worstdoctorever.blogspot.com/

I don't know if your willing to travel for your surgery, but if you are I believe Dr. Rizk might be a good choice. If I had the money to have him do my nose I would, I havn't consulted with him but I've been doing a lot of research and his b&a pics are awesome. Also there's this girl who did a youtube video on her nose job by him all on her own, so it wasn't like a publicity thing. The only way I found out it was done by him was because somebody asked in the comments. That's also when I found out it was 12,000 for her nose. I don't know about Dr. Calvert, all i can tell you is his reviews seem good and then kind of bad and then good and then kind of bad. It's confusing.
