**My post-op medication regimen**
***THREE WEEKS POST-OP***
Just found this site and a lot of useful info on it. I had a primary rhinoplasty 3 weeks ago and this last week my healing has improved a lot! Thought I'd share with all of you what medications to take after rhinoplasty surgery to reduce swelling:
- *Bromelain* made from pineapple and my plastic surgeon recommended it. I'm taking 3 pills (1 per meal) a day. Each pill is 500 mg.
- *Arnica Montana* using "Boiron Arnica Montana 30c" 7 to 10 pellets/day. I try and spread them out by taking only 2 or 3 at a time.
- *Sinus rinse* I Use it once a day in the morning. it's a bottle that you use with the pre-mixed salt packets to make a saline rinse to clean out your nose. They sell it at all the major drugstores. I use it twice a day on bad days but my doctor told me to try and avoid that. This just helps to keep junk from building up inside your nose and washes out all those dead cells from the surgery. A+ in my book.
I'd highly recommend bromelain and arnica montana for swelling after rhinoplasty. All 3 of these things are cheap *around $10/each* and my plastic surgeon recommended them. I'll keep you updated on how it goes. Does anyone use any other stuff for swelling that I'm not?

awesome! do you know if it matters what kind of arnica you get? you said you use the arnica montana 30c and i know there's another kind too they make with a different number at the end but i have absolutely idea what the number means or which one you use for what. i hate how much the p.s. office charges for it so i agree everyone should go to the store and buy the same stuff for a the quarter of the price. haven't used the stuff for rhino yet.
