| The profile looks improved but don't bother trying to judge the tip. It will change dramatically over the next 6 to 12 months usually for the better. |

| Thanks Mr. Z,
I hope the tip will get better with time.
As far as profile view: yes, the bump was removed, and since I did not want a scooped nose rather straight, the difference with my profile is not drastic or extreme.
However, it's been about a month and ten days after the surgery, and it seems like I still have that slight bump as you have seen on the after pics so far - I thought it could have been swelling, but it's not going anywhere yet. Could the bone be re-growig back. I'm worried!
Thanks! |

| Bones don't grow back, but do you feel a bump if you go over the nose with your finger? If so, I would guess there is still a little bit of bone left. But I didn't have surgery on my nose yet. I would talk to my doc about it, too. He should be able to tell if he didn't remove enough bone. Still, I think it is almost unnoticeable and your nose looks wonderful! Would you pm me your docs name?
Best wishes,
Vanilla |

| I think it's just swollen. You can see it's been lifted though, so it shouldn't be droopy. I'd just give the tip some time. Patience is something rhinoplasty patients just have to get friendly with |

| Vanilla,
thanks. To be honest with you, when I run my finger from the root of the nose(between eyebrow area) down towards the tip, I don't really feel a bump. It feels sort of straight. But when I look at it in the mirror or in person, it looks like there is a slight bump, which freaks me out. I mean I know he removed my bump and the nose is lifted as well, which I am happy with, and since I wanted a straight nose I was happy with. But now almost 1 1/2 months post op, I thought the swelling around the bridge should have gone away. I am
aware that the tip takes a long time to 'reveal' itself. LOL. So I am patient with this.
But now I am asking if also the bridge/hump area will also need some
more time.
Alixs, thanks. I appreciate the encouragement from you and everyone else.
I only hope it will look better from now on.
Thanks! |

| Hello,
just keeping people updated on my heeling with first time rhinoplasty. It has been two months already and I am hoping it will get better.
I don't see a difference day to day of course, but when I compare with the images there is such, and mostly with the frontal view of the nose and its tip. I also hope it will get a little smaller in the profile view by the sixth month.
I will post new pictures in the next month. I know there are people out there who are curious about how long it takes for a nose to shrink. Because the plastic surgeons never really tell you before the surgery.
I did want my tip to be more refined, that's why you see a difference in the tip. My original nose had no definition between nostrils and tip, and looked too bulbous to my liking. I wanted it just more refined, but not pinched either.
So, I am waiting to see how this tip forms with time.
I hope this is helpful. |
