Hey there!

I'm 26 and have seriously wanted a nose job for about 12 years. My parents would never have agreed to let me have one as a teen, and then I was off to college so I sort of put the thought on the back burner. I'm at a good place in life right now where I can finally pursue this dream. I've just started researching, but if anyone can throw suggestions my way I would definitely appreciate it! I'm looking for a surgeon in the Atlanta area too, if anyone has a good recommendation.
I have a bump that I want removed, and my nose is slightly crooked too, if they can fix that.

When you decide to get rhinoplasy, the doc will attempt to correct the asymmetry (crookedness) and 'shave' the hump. They will also correct any septal defects or obstructions in your nasal passageway so that you can breathe better. It should look great when they get done! You already have a nice shape to your nasal tip and nostrils and a nice narrow bridge.

All of the corrections that they need to do to your nose is 'covered' under a general rhinoplasy procedure. A surgeon will not try to 'upscale' you with a nasal procedure. They usually know what they're talking about, and will refine your nose to you and not a 'cookie cutter' celebrity nose.

Blanket statements are definitely not helpful on a plastic surgery forum. Please do not generalize regarding what surgeons might do and might not do, as well as surgeons "knowing what they are talking about".

Feel free to PM me for some recommendations. You would want a surgeon who does not have an aggressive approach, as you are requesting subtle modifications.

Thank you for all of the feedback. You guys were a lot kinder than I was expecting, in my head I just hate the way my nose looks and have always been very self-conscious of it.

I think the width of your tip is great so I wouldn't touch that part however I could see where you are talking about the bridge and reducing the bump, but other than that I wouldn't risk changing anything else!
