Ok im a 45 year old man who is now considering a nose job. The decision to do this is very difficult, with a lot of factors that I need to consider. Looking for men or women in my age group who have undergone this procedure for some advise.
Although I've never liked my nose, in the past I was married and never really had a good enough reason to change it. However, my life style has changed now due to a divorce and I'm more concerned about my appearance both for short term dating and possibly meeting someone and also for long term (I don't want to be the "old man with a huge snoz").
My biggest issues are the social implications. At this age, of course, my family and friends are pretty set and I feel it would be a huge shocker and even somewhat embarrassing for me to undergo this procedure. Also, I have children ranging from age 5 to 19, and wonder how they will handle their dad doing such a drastic thing.
How have you all delt with these issues? Do you tell everyone that your going to do the procedure beforehand? How do you tell your kids? What reactions have you gotten from them after telling them, or after having the procedure? Is it worth it in the long run?
My nose is definitely a confidence shaker for me, making me very self conscious whenever I meet someone, but I don't want to come off as having a crazy mid-life vanity crisis either.
Any thoughts?? Thanks so much.

Where are you located? Are you willing to travel? Have you done any research on any surgeons, or are there any surgeons you prefer?
