I had a rhinoplasty 10 days ago. 95% of the bruising is gone. I had my bridge straightened and septum revised. My tip I liked, so we left it alone. I am so glad that I read your posting. I was told by my doctor that it would be 2 months until the swelling goes down and my nose should look the way its supposed to in 6. Today got to remove the remaining tape on the bridg and was shocked at how bulbous my normally pretty tip looks. Made me regret having the surgery to begin with. Looks so distoreted and fake. So, after reading this, I feel so much better and instead of worrying, will practice the virtue of patience!!!!!! Take care.

Wow, I was considering Rhinoplasty, but after all the negative comments in this thread I´m not sure anymore.

Mrs Smith is on a distinguished road

Default Having done research, I have a question if you would be so kind as to respond

Hi, I've been considering a nose reshape and forehead lift (genetic more than age-related) for many years now and can finally afford it. I wish to thank everyone for their posts and comments as I've learned a great deal having read through them.

I have a question relating to taking a short internal flight after a nose reshape and forehead lift. I asked for feedback on the practicalities of undertaking surgery on day 1 and resting the next day and flying on an internal flight of one hour the day after. One manager (not surgeon) said it would be fine but another (again not the surgeon) said that forehead lift is not much of a problem with flying but rhinoplasty will leave it difficult for you to equalise pressure in your ears so may be very uncomfortable and even could damage your eardrum. I know I will need to speak directly with the surgeon but first I need to confirm that I wish to go ahead with the consultation.

The flight is unavoidable. I will not undertake surgery on this trip if it is likely that it will cause complications but I don't want to opt out of surgery that I've wanted for years without good reason. Does anyone on the forum know of this or other issues of flying having had this type of surgery?

Many thanks, M.
