| I am not sure whether this person who shared his pictures is still active, i would really want to see after the cast was off and then 7 months post op..
I had my surgery end of March, and i had my cast removed 4 days ago and my nose is BIG fat ;( My profile is good but my front especially when a take a pic is huge.. and i touch it very soft and it is so hard the nose not the tip the tip is hard too and i know that is common so i am not complaining about it, but my nose especially the area between my eyes where the nose starts it has a little bump and it is so fat and hard to touch..
I am thinking that area is where my nose has been broken, but when i ouch and it is hard i feel is bone and no swelling. i am so worried.. i went to have surgery because my nose looks so fat on pictures and now it is even fatter.. LOl
Any Advice?
i had open rhino and i have thick skin i have been told.. |

| Does anyone know if swelling still goes down after five months? I had mine done in late March and though at the time I absolutely loved it, the tip has since drooped and looks bulbous. one of the nurses told me that at around 3 months, the final look of the nose would present itself, and that the rest of the changes would happen inside the nose. im thinking that that was either a lie, or a completely inaccurate estimation. |

| hi, it's been almost 23 months since my rhinoplasty. that was the most stupid decision ever, because he didnt remove that bump, just took my money and gone. the problem is that he touched my tip, i still have a swelling on it, i dont know what to do. i used many steroid-based creams and nothing worked. i urge anyone who thinks to do something on a nose to avoid it at all costs, it might not worth it. to me it's now more difficult to feel good on people as i did before; to me it's clear that it comes from looks, i feel more tensed than before. by the way, if anyone knows how to help my case, please share. i dont want to do any other surgery anymore. only if you know good remedy against swelling, or can someone explain why it's like this? he said he placed some material there, but i am not sure about it; he doesnt reply anymore. but swelling definitely comes from a tissue, it's even feels little numb when i try to scratch it. and it's been a long time since that damn operation.

| Hey! I just wanted to say that the pictures of your nose 7 months and 36 months post op are the only thing that give me some hope with regards to my own nose. I had open rhino on the 25th of June, 2010. So it's been a little over 5 months and I am really unhappy with the results because the tip just looks bulbous. I was just wondering, since u've been through the same thing, whether you could tell me if u think my nose's bulbous-ness is just swelling as well? I am posting some pics here so that you can see.... thanks.. |

| what did u all use? did u all do anything like put cortizone on your noses to get it to go down faster?... i messed my nose up by accident about 7 or 8 months ago using a neti pot... i heard a crack and it swelled up really bad with a lot of pain... i think i might've cracked the cartilage right below the bone... and the ball at the end of my nose has never been the same since... i keep hoping its just temporary and it'll go back to normal but its been almost a year now and its still not right... im thinking because i have to flush almost everyday (i get really bad sinus problems if i dont) i never gave it a chance to heal... still hoping it'll go down sometime.. loved my nose i want it back... ive been using traumeel a natural anti inflammatory for about 2 - 3 weeks now and it still looks messed up... i still have pain on that side and to me it stilll looks swollen... not that red but out of shape and big... i just got some cortizone hoping the steroids in it might work better then the natural stuff i've been using
so did any of u all use anything like cortisone to make the swelling go down?.. or did you just have to wait over a year to see your nose go all the way down |
