Default I got my cast taken off today... swelling and asymmetric nostrils!?

I got my cast off today and my PS told me that my nose will swell a lot because the cast was pushing the swelling towards the tip, so now it's going to swell everywhere. He also said there will be asymmetry (which there is, which I've noticed ever since the first day with the cast on).

I'm just wondering if the asymmetry will actually subside, and when? I'm going off to university in a month and I really don't want to have a fat, asymmetric nose when meeting new people (or for the rest of the summer. I want to be able to go back out in public)! When I take pictures from the front, the left nostril looks waaay bigger than the right. It's very annoying, it's all I see when I look in the mirror. He had to break my nose on that side, and there was bruising on that side, so is there a good chance that's the reason why that nostril looks bigger? Will my nose will end up symmetrical? I know it won't be perfect, but I really hope it doesn't stay this uneven and fat.

Your swelling will go down significantly and will continue to go down for up to three years...I wouldn't know about the nostril asymmetry, but my understanding is that often swelling presents itself unevenly after surgery so that issue should be resolved as well.

kelly23 is correct about the swelling.

Any progress or changes, nyletak?
