My issues with Davis’s plan is that he wont do as much as I would like to my profile view and he wants to leave the columela part of my nose hanging out too far. He thins the frontal view a lot which I don’t have a problem with but I’m willing to sacrifice a little bit of thinning from the frontal view if it means he’ll take off more from my profile. Is that something that can make it possible?

Also what is the reason for Davis to leave the columela out when he’s shaping the nose? I'm curious to know what the purpose is. Especially since none of the other doctors I've spoken to seem to have a problem making sure that doesn't happen when i bring this up.

Hm. It looks like Davis has a different vision for your nose than you do. Why are you considering him if there are so many differences in what each of you prefer?

I know, but I was hoping to maybe get a better understanding of different methods and why they are used. So far Davis is the only one who had a bigger variety of patient examples some of which I was able to somewhat relate my case to. I’ve seen someone else on another forum that already had the surgery that is experiencing similar issues with their results. Their original nose is close to what I have. I’m just wondering why he does it this way.

I don’t see myself finding any options I feel completely happy with. Steiger didn’t have many pictures that showed me exactly what he’s capable of. Farrior has better pictures but is starting to get a little more complicated because of the distance and the images he created for me weren’t exactly good. they might want to have me go out to Tampa just to consult with him again about the images since he sent them to me after the first consult via email.

I haven’t met with Bustillo yet but from his online pictures I don’t like his results….but I’m going to meet with him to give him a chance in case he has more pictures.

So now I’m just trying to figure out if it’s possible to try to work with Davis and if not at least understand why because he seems like a skilled doctor. I’d like to think there’s more of a structural reason behind it rather than aesthetic.
