I am unfamiliar with using these sites, so If i make a mistake reponding forgive me. If you are considering between Dr Le and Dr. Anyone Else, your choice should be Dr. Le. If you want a surgeon who is talented, and gifted and won't settle for anything less than the best that can be done in each individual circumstance, then he is your man. You cannot be in better hands.
The bigger mistake is not having gone to him for the first surgery. He has a wonderful reputation for revisions, but it leaves him trying to fix what other surgeons have botched.
I have a daughter who had ear reconstructive surgery six years ago. She did her own research as a minor and came to me with his name and insisted that she wanted him to do her work.(this is when he was at University of MD Hospital) I only visited his office to placate her, with the intention of seeing other surgeons after I did my own search. At the first visit, I just knew, we were in the best hands possible. He is thorough in his research and approach. He is caring, considerate and wouldn't do anything that he didn't think he could handle. He was honest regarding his concerns and what could be done within the limits of reality. He gave NO false hopes of what could be possible and wasn't.
He was attentive, caring, and meticulous to a fault. His post-operative care is the same. A minor in-office surgical procedure was completed 2 years post surgery to just 'tweak' and improve the esthetics of one of her ears. They look like she was born with them. You would NEVER know she had a surgery to repair or improve her ears.
Because of my experience with Dr. Le, I referred a friend to him for a rhinoplasty repair. She went to a plastic surgeon first who did a little of everything. Everything!!! no specialty and they botched her nose!! It is unfortunate, but Dr. Le got stuck with another revision. Of course, when talking to my friend, she can easily compare her experience between one surgeon the other, and only laments not having her primary surgery with Dr. Le.
Finally, and sorry this is so long, most recently I had another daughter who had a surgery with Dr. Le for a primary rhinoplasty. There was much internal repair to septum deviation.....etc, and then an esthetic repair externally.
Six years ago with one daughter, and now with another, my opinion of the man just gets better. He is an amazing surgeon, with gifted hands and talent. He studies his patient, the photos and has a well mapped-out plan before he ever steps into the OR. None of his work is 'cookie-cutter'. He treats you like you are the ONLY patient/person/thing that matters when he is working with you. I talked to the nurses in recovery. They feel the same. He is highly regarded and thought of among his peers and the surgical and recovery team that he works with.
I write this because I feel strongly about our family experience with Dr. Le. You couldn't be in better hands. |
