| got pics up! please pm me for passwd.. need advice! I'm so excited I got my pics up! I need advice desperately! I'm getting so scared by all the revision horror stories I'm hearing. I took pics from all angles and question is-- should I leave it alone or go through with revision? I am not completely disgusting looking but my nose has bothered me for 8 years and prob will for the rest of my life if I don't address it.
Just pm me for the password!
Thanks in advance guys!!!

| Hi there,
I am exactly in the same boat! I had two revisions in the UK and my nose is a mess. I checked out lots of doctors but I find there's always negative posts about them somewhere on the internet. I have been searching for the last 2 years because I want the third revision to be the last. I went all the way to LA and met with Paul Nassif but I didn't feel comfortable with him so I dropped out of the operation.
I looked at your photos, although they weren't that clear because i didn't have the password - from what I can see, your nose looks natural except for the nostrils when looking up. I have the same problem with the nostrils and that's something I'd like to have corrected. I wouldn't play around too much with it but if you can correct the nostrils that would be good. Someone told me correcting nostrils is very difficult, i don't know how true that is,
Let me know if you decide on a doctor. |

| I don't have the password but there are 3 photos I can see... is that supposed to be that way?
I guess if I were you, I wouldn't change anything except for the nostrils (if that's even possible to do). When you had your consultations, did they say how they would fix that? |

| password is lolly. I don't know why, but I can see all six of the pictures without the password, humph! go figure!
All docs I consulted with said that they would fix the alar retraction with alar battan graft on the right, and alar rim grafts in both. Or are you talking about the nostril asymmetry at the base of the nose? That I believe is the most difficult thing to fix but one surgeon mentioned straigtening the caudal septum. I should find out more about that but was discouraged by the other two surgeons that b/c that view is only seen by "dogs and children" I shouldn't worry too much about it.
What do you think of the nostril retraction from the front view? |

| I would only try to get the nostrils more symmetrical...if you can do that. BUT I honestly think your nose looks pretty damn good, and if there are high risks, revision is not worth it because you already look good. It's not like you have a bulbous hump or tip, or collapsed bridge. And that's coming from someone who is quite critical when looking at noses! |

| Danistar, true, I don't have humps or any bulbousness-- in fact what concerns me about my tip is the opposite. You don't think it looks pinched, operated and birdlike in a way. I would actually want the tip widened a bit.
You don't see the nostril collapse from the front shot on the side where the nostril is pulled up?
I guess this would be called a "finesse" revision, but if I could fix those things I would like to.
A few of the docs I saw said they could get a alar batten graft and rim grafts in endonasally and obviously not touch my bridge etc... since I have no prob with that.
Anyone with grafts in their noses now-- are you happy or are they visible to you??
Any more opinions please? I think I have to take my time with this--- I need to do more research! |

| La angel, I pm'd you more details. Robyne, where are you? I really wanted your feedback as well!
Prince, my docs said fixing the nostril flare is not really very difficult, it is the underside view that is, but honestly, I don't even care about that at this point. I just want to look good head on and in profile... |

| Thank you for info Lawoman - that is what I heard also. On some forums a couple of people said Dr Calvin in LA is good at correcting nostrils but I don't know if that is true. A doctor in the UK recommended Dr Dean Toriumi - he said he's heard him speak and was impressed with his techniques. I made an appointment to go see him, I was going to fly all the way to Chicago but then my online research yielded MANY unhappy results so I cancelled. |

| yes, I agree-- I have heard too much negative about T and I also don't want a heavy looking nose-- just a bit more substance to the tip and nostrils corrected.
Do you know of anyone on the east coast that is good with nostrils? |
