| NY- Dr. Robert C Ciardullo & NJ - Dr. Fodero??? Hi guys, I'm currently located in NY and have been doing research for a primary rhinoplasty doctors in the area. But NY is a pretty expensive place and i'm having a hard time finding a doctor that is affordable as well as favored.
(My budget is $7 grand total including facility & anesthesia) I have an ethnic nose that is wide and round, I want to refine the tip and get alar reduction.
A friend recommended that I go to Dr. Fodero in NJ. She said her friend"s sister had it got done there and made a huge difference. But I wanted to know if anyone else here had any opinions on this doctor.
I also am curious about Dr. Robert C Ciardullo of NY. It seems he has no website, but is referred to mostly by word of mouth. I saw a girl's review & before and afters; it was impressive...but would like more info!
My final option would be dr.shah in chicago, but I would like to stay close to home.
Please help...I would really like to get this done before the end of the month. |

| Welcome to the forum!!! These are my personal opinions only:
Fodero has a cookie cutter approach 9/10 times. He is a 50/50 with ethnic rhinos. Sometimes he is too aggressive.
Dr. Robert C Ciardullo is not great for ethnic rhinos. He is into "creating an experience" so to speak. Work looks done and he is quite aggressive in his approach. Not subtle at all.
Shah does fair to average work. Definitely not for ethnic rhinos, as he is a cookie cutter surgeon.
Can you post some pics so the forum members can help you in an ameliorated fashion, as well as steer you in the right direction?

| I have to disagree.
I had a FREE consult with Dr. Ciardullo and he didn't seem aggresive at all.
He was professional and not pushy. He gave me his opinion and didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear. It's like he read my thoughts because everything he mentioned was what I wanted improved, so I was glad we were on the same page.
He gave me full confidence in himself and from what I saw his rhino's did not look "done". Rather it was the opposite, his noses looked natural.
Go to Realself.com and search for him, there's a female who posted her experience with him with before and after photos. She looks great in her after photos !!
He has quite a few awards to say the least and I'll be getting my surgery with him in a few months once I have my balance paid.
Hope this helps, I recommend you try a consult, it's free and he doesn't pressure you to make a decision. |

| Nyc ent Hi,
I'm in NYC and need surgery on my deviated septum. I've found a number of referrals on the web but I"d like to hear from someone that has actually had it done and the name of their doctor. My only procedure is septoplasty so I'm not looking for a plastic surgeon,ENT will do fine..
thanks

| Robyne00...You have very strong opinions of ALL of these surgeons. If you don't mind me asking...how do you gather your information?? I have to say that the only personal experience I have, is with Dr. Ciardullo who did my nose, and 3 friends noses...and did a FANTASTIC job. Not only is he NOT cookie cutter at all, but he is also the complete opposite of what I would call a "creating the experience" kind of surgeon. His approach is simple, honest and professional and he has earned himself an incredible reputation for giving extremely natural results. As far as ethnic noses? When I went for my consult...I saw many before and after pictures of ethnic patients. I would strongly recommend him to anybody, and am sending my own mother to him in a few months. |

| And my rhinoplasty...all included : pre, post op and all follow-ups, anesthesia etc. was $5,700. He does not charge a surgery room fee ( which is kind of a BS charge anyway for a surgeon who is performing procedures in his/her office anyway). Lots of luck and you should certainly go for a consult. |
