I am honestly shocked; I recently had surgery and am very happy w the results, all the pre-op information and the way my case was handled post-surgery.
However, I have read multiple peopel in this forum that have had horrible experiences with doctors; results were poor and in some cases, they completely destroyed people's noses.
Why is it that nobody speaks out?
SHouldn't doctors be held responsible for their actions? It seems that after patients complain, all some doctors say is: "that's all I could do. Sorry" and they just walk away with all the $$$$
I would at least want the doctor to reiumburse the expense and help me find someone who can fix it.
What can people do to hold some of these doctors accountable?

I would like to hold my doctor accountable for what he has done to me... I am not sure I can in the legal sense.But I am going to try...

Most of the time when you sign your pre-op paperwork, you are literally signing your rights away. It is unethical, but sometimes practical for the surgeon. Sometimes it is due to lack of expertise, so the surgeon will not be held liable, which is not right. On the other side of the coin there are patients with BDD, unreasonable expectations, and others that are just plain sue crazy.
