Default REVISION Calvert / Rollin / sam rizk / Dr Le in Maryland ?!

Hello, i'm totally new to this board and would love your advice. i had a rhinoplasty a year ago (by a US surgeon who operates in the UK and the US) to reduce a humped nose, and now the swelling has gone down, it’s really not a good result.

I've been told its a classic case of shrink wrapping as i have really thin skin (beware of having nose jobs if you have thin - its soooo unforgiving!). After consulting two UK surgeons Bassim Matti and Ian Macay i've been told i have and inverted V-deformity, the middle third is pinched, there is a slight collapse on the right side, and my dorsal bone is very uneven (breathing through my nose also feels impaired)

OOO to have my big old nose back - i never thought i'd miss it! but am trying to keep my spirits up by hoping there is a great surgeon out there who can help. And i've heard those in the US are ahead in terms of technique and expertise. but i really cant bear an over confident, over pr-ed surgeon (like my last one) who over promises and doesnt tell you about the risks. He suggested using fillers to fill in the big dent in the side of my nose post surgery. something surgeons i've seen scince were rather shocked by.

so... THE USA!! i'm thinking of Dr Rollin Daniel in new port s I’ve heard he pioneered the use of fascia grafts (i've been in contact with a happy revision lady but there seems to be lots of good and bad feedback about him and i'm not feeling 100%), also i've been thinking calvert, and someone called Dr Le in Maryland who I’ve heard is very careful and has lots of happy revision patients, also sam rizk who seems to be a bit of a media darling. but i wonder if its all hype?? anyway would love your advice....are there any names i should also consider (or some on my list you think i should avoid)

i need someone who is good with thin skin and bridges, and am planning a trip to the us in a few months. annie x

Default calvert

I just wanted to say we are in the same boat. I too have very thin skin and I have a very botched nose job. done 13 days ago...( photo is on this board)
I am also looking at Culvert. I like his before and afters. he has e-mailed me twice and is very thoughtful. Don't know about his surgery- hope we get some feed back...
He would be a 10 hour drive for me though.. Plane ride might be better!
hugs,
koo

Where in the US are you willing to travel, annieannie?

Maybe you can post some pics on the board so the forum members can help you in a more specific fashion?
