fatnose

I am so ticked off. My former surgeon claims he did the most nose tip reduction he could. I had a rhinoplasty and a few years ago and my surgeon left my tip as a big blob. After looking at before and after pictures I can tell almost no difference between my nose tip besides the after cost me a fortune to attain! Would it really be true that further nose tip reduction my big fat nose wouldn't be possible and if so then why?

I'm getting ready in the next couple of months to consult with two board certified Facial Plastic and Reconstruction surgeons on my nose. I have a bulbous tip that needs reformed and reduced. I have looked at hundreds of photos on-line of nose jobs and revision nose jobs. I've seen some pretty amazing cases. Here is one for example: Rhinoplasty - Baltimore Plastic Surgeon - RealSelf. It is very possible to do a rather large nose tip reduction. It's finding the right surgeon who understands what you want and who is capable of delivering the results.

i'm also rather curious as to the limitations that prevent tip reduction but i think it's the kind of question a surgeon/med professional would be best qualified to answer.
but my surgeon also did not reduce my tip as requested, at all. instead, he added grafting to alter its shape so now it's as big as it was before, only with septal grating making it lean to one side. he hasn't been forthcoming about his reasoning so i'm also wondering just what happened and why.

I had the same situation. I had a revision rhinoplasty from one I had 15 years ago. The surgeon evened out my nostrils and raised the tip. However, the third part to this was that I wanted my tip defined. My surgeon put something in my nose and it looks and feels fatter. I do not look awful by any means, however, I still feel like I do not look that great. I know it can look better by having the tip thinned out some more.

I have been looking for a surgeon to do this. Do you have any suggestions on how to find one? My thoughts are to go only to doctors that are working on noses, not breasts and all other parts of the body. I want someone who only focuses on noses. I don't like the group doctors offices because you don't know which doctor performed which surgery. I am also looking at doctors that have many before and after photos, and of the kind of nose I am looking for, where a male nose has a great tip. Any suggestions?

Wow that is quite an impressive tip reduction prostock69, but how long after surgery was that photo taken?

And yes dan2222, it's best to go with a plastic surgeon that does exclusively rhinoplasty and maybe a few other face-related surgeries (but certainly not boob jobs LOL!)

That before/after by Dr. Jeffrey Horowitz is drastic. I would like to know how long after surgery that pic was taken.
