| Steroid injections are a temporary fix.
Polly beak is due to surgeon error 99% of the time. Usually due to lack of experience and/or expertise ... stressing the latter.

| Be careful with steroid injections in the nose. It will do wonders to reduce swelling but that can also weaken and ruin cartilage. Most doctors won't do them for this reason. |

| Mr. Z is 100% correct. A lot of docs try to use steroid injections when they know they have made a major mistake. Ethical docs will avoid them.

| I'm finally in the city where my surgeon is located, and seeing him tomorrow. Will update when I finish.
So should I avoid steroid injections? |

| Danistarr,
If I were you I would go for the revision if they say it's simple enough and if you find a surgeon you are 100percent confident in. I see what you are complaining about, but that being said, you are still a very pretty girl. With a slightly smaller nose I think your eyes would stand out more and you'd be happier, but then again, I haven't seen your frontal. If your frontal looks great, I don't know if it is worth the risk?
Could you post a frontal pic? |

| Alright I just had my check up yesterday.
Verdict: He gave me steroid injections. I really don't think it will cause damage because it's ALL scar tissue, and it's very thick. He felt all over my nose, and said there's nothing wrong with the shape, it's just an intense build up of soft, smooth scar tissue. He didn't seem worried at all. Once it's down, it will be perfectly straight. I'm supposed to massage it constantly and go back in 6 weeks.
I really hope this works. |

| Keep us posted on your progress.
Did you ask him about the side effects of steroid injections?
When I consulted with a doc a while ago and asked him about this, he mentioned steroid injections would take care of it and he didn't mention any downside to the injections.
Have you done any research on it so far? |

I have some damn thick scar tissue. There's so much that is actually pushing my tip out, as you saw in the pics. You actually can see that is quite bulky and swollen from the frontal view, especially in pictures.

At the risk of being awkward, does anyone know if it would be a bad idea to smoke after this injection? Like honestly. I know it's not "good" for you. But would it actually slow the healing or something? |
