Considering a minor rhinoplasty revision Hey everyone. I have been a reader of this site for a while now, and I would appreciate any advice or input you could give on my situation. I had a septo/rhinoplasty done in November by a very good doctor in here Chicago. After seeing the results, I'd say he did a pretty good job. Now I'm wondering if I should have a minor rhinoplasty revision to make it look even better.
My only issue is that the bridge appears to be uneven, with one half slightly higher than the other. (The tip of my nose is not an issue here at all). You probably cannot notice it unless you were very close and purposely inspected it. But because it's my nose, I tend to notice it. I guess that's natural anytime you spend money on something, you just want to come out as best as it can. My parents say my nose looks great, and to be honest, compared to what it looked like before, it does look much better. They also don't think anything else is necessary.
So I went in to this doctor recently for a 5 month check-up, and he asked me if I had any problems or issues with my nose. I told him well I think it looks good overall, it's just that one side of the bride is slightly lower than the other. He started to rub it, and he said well it looks like it came up on us a little bit on the left side it looks like. Ok, well, I'll schedule you for an appointment in October and we'll see how it looks then. If you still are a little uncomfortable, I can go in and bring that down a little bit to even it out a little bit more. And he said I won't charge you, it will just be the anesthesia fee you're responsible for. I said ok yeah sounds good.
So, what do you guys recommend? My fear is that I'll have him go in to touch it up, and then something else could go wrong. Maybe even more serious. I'm just nervous about going through with that. I trust him as a doctor b/c I approve of about 85 to 90% of the outcome. So any advice would be helpful. I know you guys are serious about pics, so if you need pictures before giving a judgment, I'll try to do so. |
