verdict on dr vladimir grigoryants

rhinoplasty before and after, rhinoplasty pictures, rhinoplasty photos los angeles (link to his gallery)

I've been keeping my eye on this doctor for awhile now. I realize he has some cookie cutter results but the overall is good and what i want is fairly simple..i am ethnic and would like my hump removed and my tip reduced a tad, and remove a little of the columnella but not all of it. I also don't want a nose that's so upturned but it looks like a couple of the patients have gotten just that. I've spoken to many happy patients but i shy away from him at times for fear of receiving a nose like a couple of the patients in his gallery. I want to assume that hes competent enough to deliver a nose based on my requests. I think I'd rather just stay on the westcoast for my surgery.

I was recommended him by someone else on here. I think he does good primaries on ethnic and bulbous noses. Revisions are not his strong point though. If I needed a primary I would check out Vladimir Grigoryants for sure.

The time frames are mega important. My nose was good at 6 months but a disaster after 12-18 mo. Always find out times before/after photos are taken otherwise they are useless.

I would like to have a consult with Vladimir Grigoryants in May when I visit my cousin in Woodland Hills. Please if anyone on this rhinoplasty forum has been his patient let me know your honest opinion.

Thanks.

I like his work, but be careful wth Grigoryants. I used to see some quality work from him. I have recently seen two colleagues who have had subpar rhinoplasties from him, and they had their work done within the past two years. It depends on exactly what you want done. He is above average with ethnic rhinoplasties.

Hi robyne I just read your last post. I've always been back and forth about him--I see some great noses on his site but I don't know if I 100% trust him. It worries me that he has does soo many noses--a few a day, I'm paranoid he won't be careful enough on mine. Someone told me to be very clear about what i'd want and to remind him everytime of this because he is a bit absent minded. Can you tell me why the noses you saw were subpar? My instincts still tell me to go with Dr Kim of San Francisco even though his work is soooo subtle (although my instincts may be invalid because I haven't had a proper consult with either yet due to me needing to save up some more money)

PS I'm just gonna repost what I want done to my nose. Hump down, a straight profile (not upturned), very subtle reduction of tip, MAYBE lift the columnella a little. the operative thing being a very natural looking tip, because if it looks even a little carved, I think that looks out of place on an ethnic

Dr. Grigoryants is definitely on my radar. I live in Los Angeles and have many Persian, Lebanese and Armenian acquantances who love Dr. G and will rave about him for hours. Living in Glendale most of my life, I am happy to say that I've had the pleasure of indulging in the Armenian Culture for most of my life. Being Cuban, I can see many similarities within the two cultures. One part of it being... we always compliment and protect our own. Dr. G is in a perfect location since Glendale is a highly Armenian populated part of Los Angeles. Prodigiousflames...This may explain the reason behind his "soo many" procedures. Personally, I feel he does pretty great work. I'm hoping to hear from some patients of his or perhaps some more people who have consulted with him. I'll be in touch after my consult with him.

hi maria,
of the persians you've seen carrying G's nose--does it look like they could've been born with it? I'm asking because I haven't seen many persians with noses that look natural and that's what I'm trying to be cautious of.

Interesting question. There is a certain character behind a Lebanese or Armenian nose which of course looks most natural when you pair it with the big beautiful eyes / eyelashes that these women usually have. When I look at my Lebanese/Armenian friends nose (after rhino), I see an attractive / natural looking nose. Although, since I am very well aware of the character behind a Lebanese woman's face (eyes/nose/eyelashes) I can't help but question if they had surgery when I see a caucasian nose on an a Lebanese Woman's face.

That being said... I have only seen Dr. G's work from pictures and do not have any close friends who have had a procedure done by him. I hear alot about him, but it's all 3rd party word of mouth. This is why I am hoping to hear from people who have been operated on by him. I'm hoping that all the positive things I hear from my friends are not bias remarks in hopes to help out a fellow Armenian professional (assuming he is Armenian).
