| I consulted with him this weekend and it was quick because he didn't want to risk worsening my nose with cosmetic revision. He did agree I need the columella lifted but was most concerned with fixing my breathing via turbinate reduction. He also noted that my septum isn't straight, which is the first I've been told of this since the surgery. Was interesting to learn because I've had exterior asymmetry since the op. He also thought I had a spreader graft, which I didn't think I'd had. My surgeon made no mention of it anywhere but I wouldn't put it past him to exclude the information. I'm unsure as to whether or not it's true but it's something I now know to look into. Either way, he was able to tell me certain areas didn't feel like they ought to at this point post-op.
Ultimately, disappointed that I wasn't able to get a game plan to make some minor but notable cosmetic improvements but I respect his opinion and did like him. He's rather quiet and no-nonsense, which I liked, but not imposing or too difficult to communicate with. He did tell me to email with any q's.
As I've read in other posts, the waiting room is indeed quite small and was packed. There was about a 20+ min wait. I didn't notice anything rude or otherwise about the woman at the front desk. Good luck to anyone who sees him. |

| Can i just say....WOW!!...I love this doctor's B/A pictures. why can't I find anything like this in Florida??....does this mean the only way to find a doctor that's able to achieve results like this is to travel to LA?
...or is it because he's 11K+ price range?!

| Price does not equal good results, newbie.
You should not limit yourself geographically, if possible. This is your nose we are talking about!!!

I don’t know how to verify/look up credentials for doctors in California?....does any one know what the official websites are for CA? I think I found the link to the California health boards but all I was able to find was that he's a licenced “Physician and Surgeon” ….but nothing about plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon. Am I looking this up wrong?

| Newbie-is this what you're looking for? Welcome to ABMS: Improving healthcare quality through board certification
I also checked out Dr. Grigoryants-I couldn't find any complaints on him. In fact, I can only find positive reviews which makes me wonder if some of it is fake. If I don't find a doctor here in Florida-I may go to California and Dr. Grigoryants seems great but I'm not convinced. There are so much more choices in California.

| Yea that works thanks MIA
…I noticed that Dr. Farrior, Steiger, and Davis are all certified in Otolaryngology while Dr. Grigoryants is certified as a general plastic surgeon.
I think from what I’ve seen so far of the doctors in FL, Grigoryants seems to be more experience in ethnic noses. Does any one know if his work is known to collapse? ….I see a big difference in some of Grigoryants b/a pics and I wonder if he does a good job of reinforcing the nose after he shapes it to size….

This is a big reason why I'm not convinced with Grigoryants despite the glowing reviews and his pictures. As much as I love his results and his preference on the closed technique, I want someone that is specialized in facial surgery. However, if he really is that good and his patients have great long lasting results-then I would use him. |

| Grigoryants? Hi,
I'm a newbie and am consulting with Dr. Grigoryants in July. It will be a primary for me and I am caucasian, but have a bulbous tip and have read that he is good with that. I guess what I'm worried about is how his noses hold up over time, because I haven't read anything about that one way or the other. I don't hate my nose and only want very subtle changes so I don't want to end up wishing I'd left it alone! If anyone has any records of how Dr. G's noses have held up after 1 or 2 years post-op, please let me know! Thanks! |

| I was a patient of Dr. Grigoryants about four years ago. He did my chin and did a great job. He does a lot of ethnic patients. I looked through his books and it seems that the majority of his patients are armenian.
There are a lot of surgeons to choose from in Los Angeles. You could research forever. I was referred to him by an RN who gave me botox at a spa. She said he was fantastic and she was right.
I researched other surgeons at that time, but was overwhelmed and honestly, I just went with Dr. G because I trusted this nurse friend of mine.
I was very happy with my results and the hospital he uses is fantastic. I'm going back to him for a tummy tuck in September. |
