Hi Everyone. So I spoke with my surgeon and he said that he could fix my nose now if it was killing me, but that it would be best to wait as long as I can stand it before considering revision. So I decided that I'm going to wait another six months and then if my nose is not where I would like it to be, I'll get the tip refined a bit more. We also discussed genioplasty and he says that sliding would be better, since implant might cause bone erosion and in 20 years i could end up with a hole in my chin. Im probably going to go for the sliding when I get the revision. What do you think?

Hi pastypigeon,

You should definitely wait as long as you can for the rhinoplasty to be performed.

Regarding the genioplasty, bone erosion is possible with the implant. If and when it will occur depend on a plethora of factors. This erosion is often not seen in chin and cheek implants, but is present with the chin due to anatomical and structural causes.
