Has anyone here had a nose job? PLEASE HELP!?

I am thinking about getting a nose job, I am very unhappy with my physical appearance. PLEASE, no lectures on accepting myself and being pretty on the inside, i am at the end of my ropes and I really can't take it any more. So here are my questions to anyone who has had anose job...



Did any one who didn't already know notice?



Is it possible to get a nose job without people noticing, even people as close to you as family and friends?



MIND YOU,I want VERY SUBTLE changes! Is it possibe to get a very subtle nose job that will balance out my face and make my nose more proportionate without ANYONE noticing? Dont tell me this is a stupid question because i've heard cases of this happening, i just want to go further into my research and find out if its possible. I've heard instances when people have gotten nose jobs and friends and family had noticed a change but couldn't put their finger quite on it.

In the hands of the right rhinoplasty surgeon, yes it is often possible to do it subtly. However, you would be surprised how much you can get away with and not have people notice. Why not post a picture of just your nose so we can tell you our opinions?

I agree, post a pic and let the forum members know what changes you want to make.

Subtle changes can be made as la_angel said, with the right surgeon. Keep in mind rhinoplasty is done by many surgeons, and many surgeons do it poorly.

i had a nose job on Feb. 8th. (1mnth ago). cost me $5,600. im still swollen, it taks a LONG time. 6mnths+

there is no way u can do it without ANYbody noticing. post a pic, i dont think its worth it for VERY SUBTLE changes, like u want.

I have seen very subtle rhinoplasties. They were also done by very skilled surgeons, and my colleagues that had it done did a great deal of research concerning the surgeons they ultimately chose.

Another question for the original poster: Why are you at the end of your rope with your appearance? Not giving you any self acceptance lectures, however, most individuals who would state that they are at the end of their rope would be looking for a more drastic vs. a subtle change.

Or anyone out west?
I have a bad nose job done and has left me with a upturned,short, narrow nose-When I had my consultation with the doctor he said do not worry -no one will even notice -because I wanted very little done- I looked so much better before - I liked my nose-I would really appreciate anyone's help.

I think that if you stay out of eyesight while healing (while the scar is visible, if you undergo open rhino, and while you still have major bruising and swelling) and don't mention anything to anyone, chances are they won't notice. Most people don't notice things like that, unless you get something ridiculously drastic done. If anyone were to ask, just say you're using a new foundation/ hair color and they won't think twice

Even if you "hide while healing"or some callit "hibernate while healing" if the rhinoplasty is not subtle, if the surgeon makes a grave error, or if bruising is evident, I do not think most people will think you changed your makeup and/or hair.

Why not be honest, so if someone sees work they like a real and true patient can provide a valid referral? I understand not everyone wants to reveal when they have had PS, but that's part of the problem in the arena of PS. The secrecy allows the inexperienced, corrupt, and subpar surgeons to skate by, while dissatisfied patients keep everything inside and look for new surgeons ... errr ... surgeons.
