| Miyuki, Would you let us know or send me a message how it went, please? I would love to hear some feedback on twilight anesthesia. Doctors seem to have different opinions about this and I am curious and at the same time little bit worried about it. Thanks. I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
PS. I heard back from Dr's office, the cost of a primary rhinoplasty is about $10,000, and septorhinoplasty would cost $15,000 without insurance, it could be higher or lower, all depends on how much work is being done.

| Yes, I will gladly write about my experience with the IV sedation and Dr. Naficy post-op. I am also nervous about the anesthesia-- I don't want to be awake at all but have heard that you are sometimes in and out of consciousness when using IV sedation. But I also read that IV sedation is thought to reduce bleeding during the operation which seems like a benefit to the surgeon. If it helps the intended outcome in any way I think it will be worth it.
I will say that Dr. Naficy is very expensive, but I honestly believe his work appears to be the best in the state. If I am having an operation on my face, I want it to be with the most skilled surgeon possible. His results are very natural looking and aesthetically pleasing. Additionally, if a revision is needed he will not charge an additional fee aside from the anesthesia etc. With that said, I cannot make any recommendations until after my procedure, just thought I would share my perspective. |

Additional septoplasty work could bring it to $12,000 - $15,000. I had saved around $8000 so will need to take some more time to save up. Is this usual?
I'm now thinking I could look into surgeons in California instead. Would they all be around the same price? I mean, it's my face so of course I'd like an excellent surgeon. But $10,000 was higher than I expected. | I paid around 9700 plus 2k extra for septoplasty IIRC. I'd highly recommend him still, over a year after the revision with him my nose looks natural and way better than before. Natural is extremely important, last thing you want is to look like that freak who had plastic surgery. It can damage your career and just overall make your life a lot more painful than needed. A good surgeon can make a lot of difference to your quality of life, $2-5k should not be a significant consideration, finance it, wait and save up, whatever. Oh, and my breathing is significantly improved. It's actually better than it ever was as i remember, it's kind of an interesting experience, i enjoy breathing through the nose now. Weird, i know. |

| Hi
I just went to see him and I am unsure. I really only want to go through this once more ( this is a revision). I did not feel that they spent that much time with me but they seemed very nice. I did not see any pictures of his patients, only one in a book of many different clients in the waiting room. As for specialization, I thought that he only did faces and that there was another doctor in the clinic that did body, is that not correct??
Thanks |
