Default Dr. Naficy

So Kellilicious- did you decide to go with Dr. Naficy?
I have recently scheduled my rhinoplasty with him. My consultation with him solidified my choice as he was very thorough, informative, conservative, and honest. I was curious what you decided and the outcome?

Selina you look great, thank you so much for posting pics. I would love to see some more pics as the swelling goes down. I am in Vancouver Canada and am looking for a good PS. Seattle isnt' too far for me. Just curious - in your research, did you ever consider any Vancouver PS? We dont have too many over here.

EKK - please keep us updated on your progress. When are you going in for surgery?

I'm also intrigued by Naficy and if you're looking for more options Portuese has produced a couple happy patients on MMH and he is also from the same area ( believe he's also more affordable )
grigoryants and kim do not perform only noses.. or am I wrong?

Selina, you look great! I recently had a consult with Dr Naficy and I am considering getting my rhinoplasty with him. I've consulted with a number of other plastic surgeons in the Bellevue/ Seattle area, and so far I like him the best. The only downside is that he wants to charge me separately (room, anesthesia, etc) for correcting a minor deviation in my septum and open my airway. All the other surgeons I saw included that correction with the total fee.

Has anyone else had any additional work done with Dr. Naficy aside from purely aesthetic purposes?

Hi iva,

I know that Naficy is good at both reshaping noses and correcting septum deviation since he is also an ENT. But charges should already be included in the rhinoplasty part IMO and he shouldn't double-charge for the septoplasty.
How much will you end up paying for rhinoplasty/septoplasty/anesthesia/hospital fees?
I'm also curious if you considered consulting with Dr. Portuese in your area and how you felt about him.

I will check to make sure that I understood Dr Naficy's quote correctly. The rhinoplasty was quoted at 7,250, facility fee 1,800 and anesthesia 700.

I also had a consult with Dr. Young who is also in Bellevue. He quoted his rhinoplasty at 7,000 and 1,800 for the anesthesia. I am assuming that cost also includes the facility fee.

My next visit will be to Dr. Portuese. I've heard his costs are more reasonable and that he has considerable experience with rhinoplasty. I cant say that I am particularly impressed by his photos. He is clearly very skilled at reconstructive surgery, but it seems to me that his noses look the same. I dont want a cookie cutter nose -it has to fit my face. I've got a big ol' European nose and a baby face. The two just dont make sense.

Default Meeting him next month....

I have a consult appointment with him next month for a septoplasty and a revision. I am excited to meet him. I have met with a half dozen or so plastic surgeons over the years and have looked at numerous before and after pictures and he is the only one who I have been really impressed with ALL of his pictures! That man looks like he has a lot of talent! I am actually flying to Seattle for the day just for that appointment!

I think it is common, and necessary, to keep the cost of the rhinoplasty and the septo separate if he plans to bill insurance. Insurance doesn't want to pay for anything cosmetic related and they get very critical of any billing to them where they think they might be paying for anything that could be cosmetic. I think they get extra picky when they are dealing with an ENT/Plastic Surgeon vs someone who is only an ENT and doesn't do the cosmetic work.

I will be very interested in hearing what you decide to do!

Actually he seems to specialize in rhino and Mohs surgery, that's about all i could find.
