Does anyone know of a good facial surgeon in Michigan?? I live in Grand Rapids, Mi and I know that there are a lot of plastic surgeons around here but I don't know anyone that's ever had their nose done. I want to have my nose done and the only recommendations that anyone I know can give me are about breast augmentation. Please help!!!

I don't know of any Michigan plastic surgeons that are good for noses. I could be totally wrong but I haven't heard of any "nose guys" in Michigan, but I have heard of a few good surgeons for the body there.

If you are willing to travel to Chicago I know of a couple good rhinoplasty surgeons there.

I checked out Golden's website, and I personally did not like the quality of his work. In fact, it looks like he tries to give everyone the same nose. One size definitely does not fit all with rhinoplasty!

I'd like to add that it's best not to go with a surgeon based on his gallery and to consult with actual patients about their experience

I should "learn how to form an opinion"? What does this mean? I often state when I appreciate someone's work and honestly, as an individual who has interest in the field on several levels, many times I am one of the only members on this board that conveys honest opinions with no agenda.

Obviously it is better to speak with actual patients, but when you are looking at someone's web gallery you can see if you like or do not like the quality of a surgeon's work. If surgeons are attempting to post their best work, and it looks subpar, I do not want to see the results they are least proud of.

Have I learned how to form an opinion yet? Let's stick to the relevant topics at hand, responding to members questions and/or issues and discontinue any personal attacks.

Dr. Theodore Golden in Troy Michigan did my nose and eyes.

My nose looks is "mine" and doesn't look "cookie cutterish" at all. I wanted "me only better" and got exactly what I wanted.

I had a great experience with this surgeon and am over 2 years post op. and am beyond pleased with my results.

Definitely. Also, always send them to people who ask. I don't like having them just "out there" for all to see.

I will see how to do this here in the next week or so. I've got my galleries up at another PS website, my nose is private password protected because it shows my entire face and my eye album is wide open since it's just "eyes." Hopefully this can be done here as well.

~I just joined today as I'm researching other "procedures" but have commented here and in the bleph section because I had good outcomes. Thankfully!

It seems like a calm, drama free place to post and research.
