|  Results after Rhinoplasty...still swollen!
2 months ago, I had a rhinoplasty, upper and lower blepharoplasty, chin liposuction, fat transfer to lips, and laugh line filler injection. I'm happy with everything except my nose. It's still swollen...I hope. My tip is still so bulbous and thick! My nostrils still flare, though they are somewhat smaller. My doc says to be patient...it takes time for swelling to go down, and for bones to form and heal...I'm suppose to apply pressure to my upper nose for 10 sec after showering each day. I go for my follow-up in a few weeks.
No body can tell a difference. I'm so frustrated. My nose is so fat, and the frenulum hangs below my nose...wtf? I really wanted more of a dramatic difference to my nose. Hopefully, it's just swelling that will go down eventually, and I'll have my cute, small nose that I've always wanted!
My doc created a thinner bridge, tucked in the nostrils some, removed cartilage from the tip and placed a graft in the tip to add support.

ur nose is majorly swollen. . . period. when my nose was done after 2 months it looked like id been punched in the face and like one of my nostrils had been stapled in. now im 7 months and becoming very happy with the results. even so my doctor told me to wait at least a year, preferably two to see the final results.

Thanks for ur feedback! I feel so much better after hearing about other people's recovery periods and how long it can really take to get their desired reults.

Every person is different, however, you are still in the beginning stages, hence swelling will be present, unfortunately. Despite the swelling, I must say you are very pretty! Be patient, and keep up surgeon updated regarding your progress.

Although it's impossible for me to know what your noes is doing exactly, I do know that swelling lasts a very long time  You should expect to have some swelling for at least one year after rhinoplasty.
I haven't ever heard of a rhinoplasty surgeon telling patients to put pressure on the nose though. That seems like it could hurt the fragile parts inside as they heal. How is he telling you to apply pressure?

Just to use my fingers and aply firm pressure between the eye area and somewhat below. My nose is still pretty sensitive, however this application of pressure does not hurt. It's a little sore at the top (between my eyes) because the bones are still forming there. My nose tip is still a little numb too, and hard.

If I end up needing a revision (in a year or so), do you think the service will be covered under my original payment/aggreement with my surgeon?

Every surgeon is individually dependent. It also depends on how detailed the waiver you signed prior to surgery was, regarding liability. Most times revisions are not covered, unfortunately.
