1 Yr 2 months since surgery (photos) 3 Attachment(s) Its been 1 yr and 2 months since i had my nose job and im not happy at all. i regret doing it but it was a choice i made. at the moment my nose tip is hard and i can feel like a little hard ball in there. its making my nose look droopy and it just to me looks bigger then before. when its hot the tip swells up and im wondering is this scar tissue becoz to me after 1 yr seems weird to have swelling. Has anyone experinced this and after one year there tip changed abit? i really dont want to go through another surgery but it nothings going to change i think i might. i will definetly not go to the same Dr. All i wanted was to remove the little hump which was done and to lift the tip up abit but i believe the dr took to much cartliage out and now ive got scar tissue in there. Does anyone know what cartilage suture is? plus i think my nose looks longer than before. ive attached pics for you guys to see and give me your honest opinion and suggestions. Thanks |
Swelling should have gone down by now. Your nose does appear longer. A cartilage suture is where the surgeon uses cartilage (from the nose or elsewhere) to mend the nose. Did you discuss this with your doctor? |
I actually didnt know he was going to do the cartilage suture thing, i think he decided to do that in the last minute because he didnt say anything prior to the surgery regarding that. |
Is the profile pic on the right an after pic? I don't know why any rhinoplasty surgeon would leave that much columella there under your nose. See my other post on here about my nose being hard after rhinoplasty. What doctor did this? |

Yep both right side profile..... i looked at ur post and seems we both have the same hardness problem and ye i dont know why either? wish it would go away but i doubt it most likely will have to do revision. I got my nose done overseas in singapore by Dr Thatwai or something like that. After i tried to get answers from him ive totally given up because he keeps saying its just swelling and it will calm down in afew months and now its been 1 yr and the tip hasnt changed. |
You need to find another surgeon for revision. |
Are you in the US... if so, what made you go to Singapore to get surgery  The tip may be permanently hard. Who knows what that Dr Thatwai did! I would visit a respected rhinoplasty surgeon in your home country and get their opinion on what's going on. |
I live in Australia and i went to singapore because it was way cheaper and i read forums that there surgeons are good.. its a mistake i made and now im paying for the consequence. definetly going to find a reputable surgeon here in my home town to see what is wrong with my nose. |
Just out of curiosity how much did you really save after travel costs  I bet the difference between that and going to a reputable surgeon in your home country isn't all that much. It's not worth sacrificing your face (and your life) to save a few thousand. Of course you've already learned that lesson, but I'm just mentioning that for other readers :) |
i saved 2000AUD which really isnt much when u think about it coz now i have to re-do the surgery and its going to cost me triple the original price. so over all not worth it but i was just to inpatient and wanted to do it straight away and here in AU u usually have to wait afew months before the surgery because most plastic surgeons are already booked out. |
